Highlights from "A Renaissance Celebration", Atlantic Fringe Festival 2003

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.

William Shakespeare

In the summer of 2003 a group of kids and a Shakespeare-lovin' director took "A Renaissance Celebration" to the Atlantic Fringe Festival.  It was a variety show of sorts set in the time of Elizabeth the First's reign. A Celebration of the peace between England and France, it featured period songs, dances, and poetry.  Scenes from 3 of Shakespeare's best loved plays, comedic skits and original music entertained young and old and helped the audience to step back in time.  The world premiere of the *Chicken Sonnet* was a delight.  A living reminder of what you'll find in the depths of Shakespeare, if you give him a chance.

A special thank you to Kathleen Robson for her help in making "A Renaissance Celebration" a reality.  And to Sandi Bond our thanks for the fabulous period costumes.

Photos coming soon.
